A-Class Marble, one of India’s biggest importers of illusive marbles, now offers more than 450 varieties of marble, stone, granite and other architectural surfaces imported under the sole agreement with many quarries and brands from Italy, Spain, Greece, Portugal, France, Iran, Turkey, Vietnam, China, and other geographies across the world. For a company that started in the year 2005, it is not an ordinary feat to achieve. A there is one man who is leaving no stone unturned to make this happen. Ramesh Bhandari, Director, A-Class Marble is now a recognized face in the market. It is perhaps his knack for devising excellent business strategies and implementation that allows him to foresee the upcoming trends. Or is it his eye for innovative ideas and his unique approach towards marketing, sales and customer relations that are helping him write the history. We talked with the man himself and tried to find out the reasons for his success. Here are the excerpts.

 

RM: What has been A-Class Marble’s journey since its inception in 2005?
RB: Since 2005, our vision to bring the world’s most magnificent collection of marble to India has today made our brand one of the largest importers of elusive marble in the country, offering a large array of rare stones hand-picked from across the globe. With the largest warehouses spread over a sprawling 3,00,000 sq. ft. in New Delhi and the state-of-the-art production unit spread over 10,00,000 sq. ft., located in Asia’s biggest Marble Market at RIICO Industrial Area in Kishangarh, Rajasthan. Our collections are designed using the latest cutting edge technology without compromising on the quality and artisanship.

RM: A-Class Marble targets luxury interiors and architecture. So, what makes it unique?
RB: While unraveling the strength and beauty of new-age materials in India, A-Class Marble aims to transform the landscape of luxury interiors and architecture in the country by widening the scope of material technology to blend the latest technology with impeccable craftsmanship from Italy, nurturing avant-garde ideas that find use in a wide spectrum of building typologies.

RM: The marble industry is huge. How has your experience been in the construction industry?
RB: My experience so far has been overwhelming. After working with a long list of distinguished clients, celebrities, designers, and architects globally, our brand is acclaimed today, for its diversified and premium quality product range, unwavering patronage and carrying forward more than a decade old legacy in the marble industry.

RM: Are there any unique steps you take to maintain the quality and that niche factor of your product?
RB: Our brand offers a large array of rare stones from the world’s best quarries to India, the collections comprise of more than 450 varieties of marble, stone, granite, and other architectural surfaces exclusively sourced from across the world. These are handpicked and carefully crafted into different collections based on color, format, and thickness.

RM: Since the industry is huge you must have faced some challenges. Please highlight some.
RB: Our biggest challenge to date has been the advent of technology in both marble and surface industry. There are constant evolution and innovation which give us an opportunity to keep up with the latest trends.

RM: Are there any exciting developments you anticipate for the years ahead?
RB: Yes, we are excited to come up with new spaces and showrooms in the market. Our Moti Nagar showroom which happens to be one of the largest marble showrooms in the city will soon be unveiled to the public and will also showcase new collections for both marble and surface tiles.
