Unlike the industry, Sanjeev has focused majorly on developing a research and analytics division; he believes that real estate is scientific in nature and requires proper analysis to read the market dynamics. Team RealtyMyths got an opportunity to interact with and understand Sanjeev’s marketing perspectives and his overall though process behind forming SRE Group. With government’s initiatives, FDI and PE flow has increased. Do you think the real estate sector is reviving?
Political stability, strong economic fundamentals and policy initiatives from the government’s side is giving us a lot of hope. I do see the graph of real estate moving upwards.
How was your journey in this industry? What kept you going with SRE India?
Real estate for me is a dream which came true. I attribute all my achievement to the God who has been kind to me. I think it is the tough competition that has kept me motivated; I have been fortunate to compete with the top echelons of the industry so far. It taught me a lot.
How is SRE India adding value to the real estate market? What vision drives your organization?

What challenges do you expect in the given market conditions? How will RERA impact this market?
The speculators have led the market into the situation of absolute glut; we are lacking effective demand as far as residential inventory absorption is concerned. RERA is definitely a positive development and would lead to transparent functioning. It would also help in building consumer confidence and thereby, would lead to growth of the sector
Do you believe in mentorship? How has mentorship made a difference in your professional and personal life?
I personally believe that mentorship is important for both psychological and career guidance. For me, mentorship is more of role modeling and transmitting the best of industry information to our employees for their professional development and growth. Mentorship helps me learn as much as I impart.
What advice would you give to the new entrants in the real estate domain?
For being successful as a real estate professional, it requires a lot of dedication, hard work, and discipline. Don’t rush; take one step at a time. Be curious about your work, ask questions and always be interested. I would say, give 100% and the rest will fall into place.
