Welcome to RealtyMyths Weekly Real Estate News Round-Up

And here are some of this week’s news updates from the real estate market.

Let’s start with The National Green Tribunal where it directed the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation to seal all the illegal borewell operation in the national capital region. The DMRC has approval of 164 borewells only.

The next update also involves the DMRC, and it’s a good news for them. Delhi Metro’s Pink Line’s South Campus-Lajpat Nagar section receives safety approvals from the Commissioner for Metro Railway Safety. The line is expected to be operation from August 2018.

Do you know nearly 5700 illegal properties have been sealed by 3 MCDs in Delhi, since December 2017! Yes, following the directives of the Supreme Court to seal properties violating the provisions of Delhi’s Master Plan, the MCDs have sealed these properties so far, informed Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri to Parliament on July 24th, 2018.

And at last, on July 26th Delhi NCR recorded its second heaviest rainfall of this season. This brought the city to a standstill, with roads becoming rivers and kilometres long traffic jams everywhere. Once again, the tall promises of monsoon-readiness by respective city authorities got washed away in a flash.
