Not cut any tree; directed all contractors to comply with undertaking before the Delhi High Court: NBCC

Navratna Central Public Sector Undertaking NBCC (India) Limited today said that it has not cut any tree and has issued a directive to all its contractors to not cut trees in any of its redevelopment projects – Nauroji Nagar, Netaji Nagar and Sarojini Nagar in Delhi in line with undertaking given by it in the Honourable Delhi High Court on June 25 not to cut tree till July 4. “We have instructed all contractors carrying out the redevelopment of three colonies in Delhi by NBCC not to cut any trees. In the event of any breach by any individual or contractor, they will be held responsible for all consequential damages arising therefrom including contempt of Court,” a Company spokesperson said.
