South Delhi Municipal Corporation’s (SDMC) Punjabi Bagh decentralized waste processing biogas plant is the first plant to install net metering. Till now the net metering concept had been successfully implemented in rooftop solar, this is for the first time wherein biogas based decentralized waste to energy project is working on the same concept. The concept of Net metering also known as net energy metering started as a solar incentive that allows users to store energy in the electric grid. When solar panels produce more electricity than needed, that energy is sent to the grid in exchange for credits. GDA cannot issue Completion Certificate to Saya Gold Avenue, directs Allahabad HC

The Hon’ble Allahabad High Court has asked the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) not to issue any Completion Certificate to the Saya Gold Avenue project, opposite Shipra Mall. The High Court gave the direction in a writ petition filed by Suntower Resident Welfare Association against GDA & Saya Builders/Shipra Builders. The RWA alleged the violation of FAR & construction on Green Park area as marked in the Sanctioned Plan of 2005. The Suntower RWA raised the objection that the open green area and the green area between the G+12 tower cannot be illegally converted into a 37 storied Saya Gold building thereby completely taking away the open green area and permanently blocking the sunlight and airflow etc., besides affecting the view. RWA, NBCC to jointly start a Monsoon Tree Plantation drive in Delhi’s New Moti Bagh

To plant 200 five feet or longer trees on August 5 to take total to three thousand this year Additional Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Office Dr. P. K. Mishra and a host of other senior Government functionaries today came together for a plantation drive for enhancing green cover at New Moti Bagh (NMB) residential colony developed by NBCC (India) Ltd. The plantation drive was a joint initiative between the Resident Welfare Association (RWA) of the colony and NBCC Ltd. “With this drive today, we have achieved our target of planting 3,200 trees this monsoon at NMB.
